Alpha Capital Anstalt is aware of scams in which third parties are using Alpha Capital’s name to perpetuate fraudulent activities.
The perpetrators use a range of methods to contact victims, including third-party messaging services such as WhatsApp, networks connecting start-up businesses with investment funding, and social media. In an effort to appear legitimate, fraudulent actors may pretend to be real individuals known to be employed by or associated with Alpha Capital, or they may claim to be brokers working on behalf of Alpha Capital.
Fake or cloned websites are also commonly used to trick victims. These websites may be created using cloned company details, and they may even have a web address that is very close to the real Alpha Capital address.
If you are approached by someone claiming to represent Alpha Capital, please bear in mind:
- The only legitimate Alpha Capital website is at www.alphacapital.li
- All individual Alpha Capital email addresses end in @alphacapital.li. If you receive correspondence claiming to be from Alpha Capital but the email address of the sender does NOT end in @alphacapital.li, that correspondence is not legitimate.
- Alpha Capital does not solicit or conduct any business via messaging programs such as WhatsApp, WeChat, Facebook, or LinkedIn.
- Alpha Capital does not conduct business in cryptocurrency.
- Alpha Capital will never ask you to transfer funds into a cryptocurrency account in order to confirm the existence of the funds or otherwise.
Exercise great caution when solicited with:
- unsolicited offers of investment funds
- offers that seem too good to be true
- proposed investments that must be completed very quickly
- requests to transfer funds into cryptocurrency accounts in order to show proof of liquidity in advance of investment
- requests that you undertake financial transactions live on video calls or otherwise while visible to any third parties, including the purported “investors”
We advise all individuals to ensure they are communicating with legitimate and authorized representatives of Alpha Capital. If you are unsure about the legitimacy of any communication or website claiming to represent Alpha Capital, please contact us directly at info@alphacapital.li. If you believe you have been the victim of a scam, please report the crime to local law enforcement or regulatory authorities.
